First picture for 2012 and it’s… this. I like how it came out, but there’s a lot I could have drawn better. Anyway, it was mainly something I drew so I could use it to replace the Christmas-themed picture I was still using on facebook/twitter.

This is my half of a trade from the beginning of the year, which I have finally completed! I started it in July, and didn’t look at it again until today when I decided to finish it. There’s a lot that could be improved on, but after staring at the grass for too long I wasn’t sure what was what anymore :’D Still, I’d like to think it’s an improvement on my previous attempt at grass.

I haven’t drawn much this year >_< I’ve done a few things for Uni here and there that I’ll share another day, but I’m out of practice none-the-less and quite unhappy with this. Here’s to re-finding my skills.

While I was drawing the first night, one of the kitties, a ginger cat called Cosmo, became all curious about my sketchbook, even licking it a bit I think, then eventually decided to jump into my lap (my legs were crossed) and fall asleep there. It was adorable <3

I couldn’t stop one of the other kitties from licking this page.

So there you have it, and now I can draw cats (well, kittens) slightly better than I could before, yay.

Alternative background colour, since the the other is hard to make out. It makes the fact that it’s really messy more obvious, though, as well as changing the mood. I like the other one more :’D

It’s inked, but I still have to add some detail to the shirt and line weighting. If it comes out well, which I’m hoping it will, I’ll probably use it as a profile picture or a much-needed updated ID on dA or something.

A sketch from early last month (March 8) with the wrong year on the date because that’s how long it’s taking me to get used to writing “2010”, instead of “2009”, apparently. It was meant to be someone trying to catch things they’d managed to lose when tripping or something, by my younger brother started paying it out so I had to change some things. You can see what it was originally going to be like…

And how it ended up. Only then did he realise he didn’t realise what was meant to be going on, so I screwed my picture over for nothing. I never finished it, either xD In hindsight, it’s not that good even. It’s just rare I can get something like this out through tablet alone. Maybe I’ll give the pose another go sometime, however unoriginal it may be.

Nnnn… drawn on the 12th of March… Suffice to say things weren’t going so well at the time. But I kind of like the picture…

A picture I finished at the start of the month but don’t like enough to put on deviantART. Kenshin456’s character Varmun. I really have issues with hairstyles and character designs that are hard to make sense of, and this was a dreadful one;;; I think my will to do this picture shows through a bit.

Finally, have an animated gif I made last weekend.
